The Sunday Skim – Fall 2018 – Thirty Two

Welcome to the Sunday Skim.  Your weekly recap of all things Fashion, family, food and drink, health, news, social, lifestyle, home and beauty.  Sit back and relax and enjoy the Sunday Skim!

What has been happening.  I haven’t written anything in a week.  It was nice to write this piece today.  I have been very grateful for the break.  We had another pretty crazy week.  Peyton broke his foot and then we had to go back into the hospital for a cast repair.  Can’t say enough good things about Children’s Hospital Ambulatory Clinic.  They are amazing.  Our AC also decided to die Sunday night and we spent two day in a hotel while it was being fixed.  Also, Why is it still SO HOT???  This week we are moving out of the house again so they can start our floor renovation.  After planning this since July I am excited that it will be finished and we can get everything back to normal in the house.

Fashion.  My favorite jewelry designer, Tracy Kopfinger, launched her first website for Virtue Jelwery and Luxe by Virtue last week.  This is an exciting new venture for their brand that has been wholesale only until this point.  You can shop the site here and use code KING20 for 20% off your purchase.  Also, we will be doing a giveaway next week so check back for more details soon!

Family.  The fall is such a beautiful time to entertain especially if you are wanting to enjoy the outdoors.  We don’t have too many opportunities for that in the south since it’s always so hot, as in Thursday when it was 100 degrees, so it’s a treat to entertain outdoors while you can.  This seemed like a fun and easy idea to be able to do in your backyard on a cool fall evening!

Food and Drink.  I am always looking for something new and exciting to serve as appetizers at events I host.  Party food can be a hard one to navigate when you are low carb.  These little snacks look delicious and easy!

News.  What do you think?  Is ‘dressing for success’ antiquated?  I don’t think so but read this and see what you think.

Social.  This week there are a ton of shopping events to attend!  Fashion for Foster Care, Kendra Give Back: Junior League of Greater Covington and the Golden Lily Fall Trunk Show.

Lifestyle.  If you are planning a wedding this is a great read.  Remember that it’s really supposed to be your day and to make sure that you are enjoying yourself.  Do the things that are important to you and your spouse and worry less about the things you think you need to do.

Beauty.  Tomorrow morning I am launching a post about working with Smile Brilliant to whiten my teeth!  My experience has been so great with them and I cannot wait to tell y’all all about it.  Also, they are going to be doing a giveaway so one reader will be able to win their own complete set from Smile Brilliant.  Make sure to check back tomorrow for the details on how to enter.
