Welcome to the Sunday Skim. Your weekly recap on all things fashion, family, food and drink, health, social, news, lifestyle, home and beauty.  Grab a cup of coffee and enjoy the Sunday Skim.

So what has been happening.  Last night I went to my 20th high school reunion.  20 years.  It sounds so cliché but I literally cannot believe it has been 20 years.  We had a great time and it was fun reconnecting with people I went to school with in what seems like another lifetime.  Other big things that happened this week….  Pops started preschool!  He is just going one day a week.  I know, I know you can totally eyeroll at me but I am not ready for him to go to a three day a week program yet.  Maybe next year.   The Bigs are settled into school and soccer practices.  Trying to plan our weekends moving forward.  As for We Five Kings.  We have some super exciting new things to be working on and a few collaborations that we are finalizing.  4 months left in this year and we are doing the most with it!

Fashion.  I need these boots like I need air.

Family.  My mom did this experiment with me when I was little and I think I may do it with the boys sometime soon.  It looks fun!  Check it out here.

Food and Drink.  So technically THIS is not on the low carb, healthy list but it looks amazing.  If you are looking for a good pulled pork recipe THIS one is my favorite and so so so simple.

Health.  I came across this article yesterday on  It’s amazing how many people don’t know basic first aid or CPR.  These are 40 first aid basics that we should all know how to deal with.

Social.  Our alma mater and our favorite Louisiana football team will be facing off on September 8th.  We can’t wait to get to watch a game that we will be excited no matter who wins.  If you are looking for information on the SLU vs LSU game check out the Southeastern Louisiana University website.

Lifestyle.  Ever wondered when Meghan Markle will have to curtsey to Kate?  Here are the details.

Beauty.  I am already thinking all about Halloween.  We have started working on our costumes and they really aren’t going to require too much make up this year.  However I am always looking for ideas because it’s just too much fun.  Look at these Halloween inspired makeup ideas.
