Welcome to the Sunday Skim. Your weekly recap of all things fashion, family, food and drink, health, news, social, lifestyle, home and beauty. Grab a cup of coffee and enjoy the Sunday Skim.
I am sitting in front of the computer with a rice krispies treat breathing for the first time today after a whirlwind birthday party for Peyton and Paxton. I do think that this was one of the most fun parties we have ever done but I am exhausted so this one is going to be short and sweet.
Fashion… All anyone is talking about this past week was the Nsale. I will be talking about it all week too. If you missed my posts from this week on my Top Picks and Denim you can check them out on the blog now. This week I will be sharing more about my favorite dresses, menswear and kids on the blog. Make sure you are subscribed to the blog to get all of the updates.
Family… Like I said above we hosted Peyton and Paxton’s birthday party on Saturday with a company called Mad Science Southeast Louisiana. I will be doing a fill blog post later this week but I just wanted to give them a quick shout out and say that the party was amazing and so much better than I ever thought it was going to be. The kids had fun and were excited and I think learned a little in the process too. You can check them out here. Also, you can check out where I pinned all of my decorating inspiration on Pinterest here.
Food and Drink... I am hosting a Fantasy Football Draft Brunch for some friends and I am planning to have the perfect bagel bar. Just like this one here.
Social… Tickets go on sale this Wednesday for Beach, Please the Northshore Parent Mom’s Night Out. Last year was epic and you don’t want to miss out on some of the amazing VIP packages. Check out everything here.
News… Yesterday the Audubon Zoo had a Jaguar escape it’s enclosure before the zoo opened. During the time he was out several animals were hurt and killed. As always the way the Audubon Zoo handles themselves makes them stand out. Taking immediate responsibility for the incident, telling the public everything they knew and keeping the zoo closed all day to make sure it was safe. They really handled this crisis perfectly. You can earn more about what they did here.
That’s all I have the energy for this week y’all. More to come.
XO,
Tippy
