The little white dress or LWD is as important to your summer wardrobe as the LBD is to your everyday wardrobe. Each summer you are more than likely going to come across an occasion to wear a LWD.
There is just something about white and summer than works. Maybe it’s the tan, sun-kissed skin or maybe it’s the bright blue skies but whenever I see someone in a LWD it makes me stop and stare for a second.
In New Orleans the LWD is appropriate for any occasion from work to a concert to dinner to Sunday brunch. Add in the fact that we have White Linen Night in New Orleans and in Covington and I guarantee you will have more than one occasion to wear this dress.
The thing I really loved the most about this dress is that the lace was a knit so there was some stretch to it and it was also really light weight so I won’t sweat to death in the New Orleans heat. We are leaving on vacation the day after White Linen Night so I am packing this in my bag for dinner one night.
Speaking on vacation. This year we are taking a short trip. The kids begged to go back to Margaritaville in Biloxi and that is fine with us. It’s a short trip and there is so much to do. We went last year and they lived their best lives. I am working on a Disney trip sometime early next year so a short trip now will hopefully afford us more days in Disney then.
The first and best decision I made was to hire Ali Quirk with the Mouse Detectives to plan it all for me. I basically want to worry about wardrobe and fun and let Ali do the planning. She is a Disney veteran so I know she is going to do a better job than I could ever do. I will keep you updated along the way about our plans but so far I am excitedly planning my wardrobe and the boys and thinking of all the amazing photo ops.
If you have time leave me a comment on your must have Disney item or tip!
In other news the Nordstrom Sale starts on Thursday if you are a cardholder. Do not miss out on this. We will have our first post up by 6 am. Until then….
