Family… This weekend we have been dealing with Hurricane Nate. It was a small storm and moving quickly so the effects weren’t bad for us but it was still something we wanted to talk to the kids about before the weather got bad. We have a big honesty policy with our kids and sometimes we may tell them a little more than they need to know but we would rather them be prepared. This is a great article on including your kids in your conversations and prep.
Fashion… we are hunkered down in the house all weekend which means I finally got to break out my fall joggers. These are some joggers I am currently crushing on. Free People Camo Jogger Pants // Velvet Joggers // Khaki Joggers // Navy Joggers
Social… Hurricane Nate took a toll on our weekend plans so Harvest Cup Polo Classic has been moved to October 15th. Also this week… Sole Hope Denim and Dinner will be hosted by Renee Hall on Wednesday, October 11th. The following weekend has the LPO preforming on the lakefront in Mandeville and Fall For Art in Downtown Covington. Still trying to decide which one we will be going to
Food and Drink… This morning I tried my hand at making my own pumpkin pancakes and frosting. They were a total hit with the kids but I just winged it. Here are actual recipes you can follow. Pumpkin Pancakes // Brown Sugar Maple Buttercream
In Case You Missed It…
Til Next Week!
