I love these quick little capsule guides for seasonal wardrobes or packing.  Even if you don’t follow it verbatim you can look it over as a guide for what you will need.  Sometimes you just need to see an example to help you focus your packing or buying.  I came across this one on Pinterest from Classy Yet Trendy.  They have tons of great guides for packing for travel to specific cities, times of the year and they also have guides for capsule wardrobes.  Super helpful if you are trying to be on that minimal train.

Food and Drink

Football is in full force this weekend.  We had the tv set up on the back patio and the kids were outside all day while Big Daddy was watching all the games.  Perfect fall day in my opinion.  We were supposed to have BBQ for dinner but someone overslept at naptime, that would be me, and woke up right before it was time to eat.  I blame the weather and pollen for giving me this raging sinus headache but we ended up ordering out from one of our favorite BBQ places, Sticks and Bones.

But if you ever want to BBQ but don’t have time for the smoker or just don’t feel like getting into it here are a few of my personal favorite BBQ recipes…

Kansas City Barbeque Pulled Pork (I make this in the crock pot and it is still delicious)

Slow Cooker BBQ Brisket

Crockpot BBQ Chicken

I have worked really hard to lose weight over this past year.  It will actually be a year in October since I got serious about my health.  I used a program that helped me drop the majority of the weight but continuing to lose and keep the weight off means that I had to adopt a healthier lifestyle all around and also develop new routines with food.  This chart is an excellent example of things to focus on during and after a weight loss journey.

Halloween is quickly approaching and you are losing time to plan your costumes.  If you are planning a family theme here are some great and easy ideas…  Best Halloween Family Costumes.

I think pretty much everyone’s eyes are on Hurricane Irma this weekend.  It seems like everyone knows someone who is currently impacted or displaced by Hurricane Harvey or Irma.  I came across this video on Facebook and it is one of the strangest things I have ever seen.  I have heard stories about this phenomenon but never seen it.  Pretty interesting.  Check it out here.
