The Sunday Skim

I literally can’t think of anything else besides the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale.  It launched on the 13th for cardholders and will open to the public this Thursday morning.  The items are going quickly but Nordstrom will continue to add new things as the sale progresses.  Here are my top three picks for this morning.  Remember the sale is only for cardholders until the 21st.

Spanx Faux Leather Leggings – This is the cheapest I have ever seen these leggings!  I posted about them earlier in the week and I just can’t get my mind off of them!

Tory Burch Bryce Sandal – If you have been wanting a Tory Burch Sandal now is the time to get them.  They rarely go on sale and this is a great price.  I love all of my Tory Burch sandals.  They are comfortable and hold up forever.

Vince Camuto Jumpsuit in Poppy – This jumpsuit… This color…  This price…  There are so many things right with this that it can’t be wrong!

Food and Drink

So this past week I started a Keto diet to maintain and continue my health goals.  It was slow going the first few days.  I ate A LOT of eggs but I kind of hit my stride mid week.  I am used to making my own dinners but the lunch and snacks had me a little thrown.  I have a good plan moving forward which is going to include me pre-making chicken salad and egg salad and having them on hand in the fridge.  I also came across some new dinner ideas which is good because I am getting tired of some of our regular fare.  This week I am going to try these enchilada bowls and I think there will be enough left over to have lunch for a few days too…  Keto Chicken Enchilada Bowls

So speaking of Keto…  in case you don’t know what it is here is a great article here on the Ketogenic Diet.  I am tracking mine through My Fitness Pal.  I set my calories for 1,700 a day and my macros are Carbs 5%, Protein 25% and Fat 70%.  I set my protein a little higher than normal because I am in the gym 5 days a week.  So far I am liking it and finding it easy to follow.  It definitely took me a few days to get used to the planning.  I would say that it the only downside to Keto.  There is a lot of meal and snack planning involved but Pinterest can make that a lot easier.  You can follow my Keto board on Pinterest here.

July is a big month for our family because it is The Bigs birthday month.  We celebrate their individual birthdays and they have their joint party (which was yesterday).  Both of them get to choose something they want to do on their actual birthday.  Pax wanted to go to a fancy brunch in the city and Peyton wants to go to the Cool Zoo next Friday.  It made me remember a post I did on going to the Cool Zoo last year for Northshore Parent.  You can read it here.  Such a fun place for kids and we love it as adults too.

Not sure if you saw this last week or not but Target is making some major changes to their existing designers and bringing in some new lines.  You can read more here.  I do really like the Merona line but am looking forward to seeing a change up.  Target rarely disappoints as they showed everyone when they replaced Circo with Cat and Jack last year.  I am the most excited to see a change up in the men’s department.  I am really loving everything I am seeing so far.  Looking forward to Fall!

Have a wonderful Sunday!

XO, Tippy
